An incisive and contemporary outlook on everyday life from a critically time-challenged and generally harried female perspective (blablablah...it's the site for my comics series)

Maxine's BD: Vacations to Hungary: Early Memories, Part 1
...Where the author meets her dad's family...and her cousin Tünde.
Yeah, as I remember it, the young guy actually died, and my aunt was hysterical. As for the date with the Italians, my aunt again, it was her idea; she had a great sense of humor...
"BD" means "comics" in French; this is where I will tell my alter-ego's (mis)adventures, aka "Maxine's Comics."
Why the name "Maxine"?
Many years ago, when I had some bookwriting ambitions, I thought that "Maxine Sellers" would be a really cool pen name... Surely, any person named Maxine would be smart, efficient, self-confident, even successful... (There is no relation between this comics and another series with a similar name.)
I love the Iron Curtain and the poor sap hanging from the tree
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed these - sitting here laughing at your mum's escapade!
